Retro fashion and grunge allowed the wearer to express their individuality by choosing from an eclectic mix of styles. while retro mixed new clothes withrecycled items from previous decades.
With new technology such as the internet, fashion became globalized. Fashion trends were now being shared with different cultures all over the world.
Sportswear established itself as a mainstream trend and was produced by all the major sports manufacturers.
